Fab Labs

The April issue of Forbes magazine includes an article on personal fabrication laboratories. These fab labs can put manufacturing prowess in your hands. All one needs is $20,000 to buy the lab, a small room to put it in, and a creative design to produce. The fab labs are reportedly getting smaller and less expensive, soon a lab will fit on a table and cost $1,000. We recently posted an entry describing how everyone (with a website) can be a publisher. Now, it looks like everyone (with a fab lab) can be a manufacturer?
